Support / Installation & activation
Installing on Windows
Nolvra runs on Windows — plugins as VST3, and the Nolvra Hub for your account, licenses, downloads and installs.
Windows is a supported platform
Nolvra plugins run on Windows as VST3, and the Nolvra Hub runs on Windows too. One license covers both platforms: your two activations can be any mix of Windows and Mac machines. Everything in the licensing model — the two-machine limit, the offline window, the All-Access unlock, the free trial — behaves identically on both.
Installing with the Hub
Download and open the Hub
From the Hub page on nolvra.com.
The Hub signs you in with a one-time code sent to your email — no passwords. Use the same address you bought with; that is what your licenses are tied to.
Install the product
Everything your account owns appears under My Products. Hit Install and the Hub downloads the product and runs its installer.
Rescan in your DAW
Windows hosts cache their plugin list the same way macOS hosts do. Rescan, or restart the host.
Installing without the Hub
Download the installer
From the product's page on your account at nolvra.com.
Run it
The installer places the VST3 in the standard system VST3 folder. If your DAW scans a custom folder as well, point it at the standard location or copy the plugin across.
Activate in the plugin
Open the plugin on a track. An unlicensed plugin opens onto its activation screen rather than its interface. Paste your license key and hit ACTIVATE.
AU is macOS only
Audio Units are an Apple format and do not exist on Windows. If a product page lists AU/VST3 for macOS and VST3 for Windows, that is not a missing build — it is the platform. Every Windows host loads VST3.
RELIC on Windows
RELIC is the free product and it unlocks on a signed-in Nolvra account rather than a license key. On Windows, the Hub sign-in writes its session marker to %APPDATA%\Nolvra\session.json and RELIC reads it from there. Sign in once and RELIC unlocks in the same session — no need to close and reopen your DAW. Sign out and it locks again on the next check.
Where your key and your downloads come from
Your license key arrives by email at purchase, tied to the address you bought with. It also lives in the Hub on the Licenses screen, masked, with a COPY button next to it. All-Access rows show no key at all, because there is nothing to type on that path.
Your orders and your All-Access status are on the account page at nolvra.com. Product downloads come from the Hub, or from that account page if you would rather install by hand.
Managing your devices
Device management lives on the Hub's Licenses screen: it lists every machine a license is currently activated on, and DEACTIVATE frees a slot. That is the same screen on both platforms, and it is where you go before moving to a new computer.
If a slot is stuck and you cannot clear it yourself, mail support@nolvra.com from the address you bought with, with your order number.
Offline behaviour is the same
Activation needs a connection once. After that the plugin keeps a signed local record and keeps working offline for up to fourteen days between checks, exactly as it does on macOS.
The free trial is the same
The 7-day All-Access trial does not ask for a card and starts from the Hub on Windows exactly as it does on a Mac. See the All-Access article for what it covers and how it ends.
