How Nolvra licensing works

You are buying a license, not the software

A Nolvra purchase gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the product. That is the standard shape for audio software, and the practical consequences are the ones below.

Two machines

Your license activates on up to two machines that you personally own and use. A laptop and a studio desktop is the case this is built for.

The two slots are platform-agnostic. One Mac and one Windows machine is fine; two Macs is fine.

What you can do with what you make

Anything you make with Nolvra plugins and sounds is 100% yours, royalty-free, including released, monetised and commercial work. There is no clearance step and no registration.

The one thing you cannot do is repackage the raw material: Nolvra sounds, presets or content cannot be resold or redistributed as another sample pack, preset pack or library. The finished music is yours; the ingredients stay licensed to you. You also cannot resell, share, sublicense or lease your license or your keys.

What a license check actually does

When a plugin verifies, it asks our server about your key — or, on the All-Access path, about your account's membership. The answer is one of three things, and the plugin treats them differently on purpose:

A definite yes opens the product. A definite no — key revoked, device slot removed, membership lapsed — closes it, with a message that says which. Anything that is not an answer at all, like an unreachable server, is not treated as a no: the plugin falls back on its stored local record and keeps working inside the offline window.

That distinction matters to you as a customer, because it means a network problem on our side never locks you out of a session.

Where your keys live

Your key is emailed at purchase, and it lives in the Nolvra Hub on the Licenses screen — sign in with the same email and every product you own appears there, with its key, its activations, its downloads and its updates.

The account page on nolvra.com shows your orders and your All-Access status and sends you to the Hub for the rest. Keys are deliberately in one place rather than two.

Treat keys as private. We will never ask you for a full key in a support email, and you should never post one in a forum or a screenshot.

The trial is a license too, with a clock on it

The 7-day All-Access trial is free, asks for no card, and grants the same coverage a membership grants while it runs. It is started from the Hub, once per account and once per machine, and it does not renew. When it ends the coverage ends with it — see the All-Access article.

All-Access licenses are different in one way

Licenses granted through All-Access are tied to the membership. While the membership is active they behave like any other license. If it ends or a payment fails, those licenses pause — but anything you bought outright stays yours permanently, and the music you already made is unaffected either way.
