Support / Installation & activation
Installing and running Nolvra PLUME
Install PLUME on Mac or Windows, activate it, find it in your DAW, and remove it again.
What you need
Nolvra PLUME is a reverb with six modes and a Freeze. It runs as VST3 and Audio Unit on macOS 11 or later, natively on Apple Silicon Macs, and as a 64-bit VST3 on Windows. Signing in to Nolvra Hub, or a license key, is required to use the plug-in.
Installing on a Mac
Install from the Hub
Sign in to Nolvra Hub and install PLUME from the product list; the Hub installs it and keeps it updated. The package puts the VST3 and the Audio Unit into your own user folders, so it does not ask for an administrator password.
Rescan in your DAW
Your DAW caches its plugin list. Rescan plug-ins in your DAW to pick PLUME up, or restart the host.
Where the Mac installer puts PLUME
- VST3~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Nolvra PLUME.vst3
- Audio Unit~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Nolvra PLUME.component
- License texts~/Library/Application Support/Nolvra/PLUME/Licenses
Installing on Windows
Install from the Hub
Sign in to Nolvra Hub and install PLUME from the product list, the same way as on a Mac. Windows asks for administrator rights once, because the VST3 goes into the shared VST3 folder.
Rescan in your DAW
Nolvra PLUME is installed. If your host is open, close it and rescan plug-ins.
Where the Windows setup puts PLUME
- VST3C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Nolvra PLUME.vst3
- License textsC:\Program Files\Nolvra\PLUME
Trial and license
When PLUME opens without a license it shows the activation panel. All-Access members need no key: open Nolvra Hub and sign in. If you bought PLUME on its own, enter your license key; you can find it in Nolvra Hub under Licenses. The key looks like PLUME-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX and activates on two machines. When the trial is over, PLUME says "Your PLUME trial has ended." Trial length: 7 days. Open Nolvra Hub once while you are online to renew your sign-in.

PLUME does not appear in my DAW
Rescan your plugins
Symptom: the installer finished and PLUME is nowhere in the browser. Cause: your DAW cached its plugin list before the install. Fix: rescan in your host's plugin manager, or restart the host.
Check your system version
Symptom: PLUME is missing on an older Mac. Cause: PLUME needs macOS 11 or later. Fix: update macOS.
Check which format your host wants
Symptom: the host lists other plug-ins but not PLUME. Cause: Logic and GarageBand load only Audio Units; on Windows only VST3 is installed. Fix: look for the format your host loads.
Check the folder your host scans
Symptom: the host scans a custom folder. Cause: on a Mac PLUME installs into your user Library, not the system one. Fix: add ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3 to the host's scan list, or on Windows C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3.
Audio Unit validation in Logic
Logic validates every Audio Unit before it shows it. If PLUME is marked as failed, open Logic's Plug-in Manager, select Nolvra PLUME and choose Reset & Rescan Selection. To check it yourself in Terminal: auval -v aufx Nplm Nlvr
Presets and settings
PLUME's 211 factory presets are built into the plug-in. Your own presets, the window size you chose and your display settings live in one folder, which still carries the plugin's internal working name, VERB2.
On a Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Nolvra/VERB2
On Windows: %APPDATA%\Nolvra\VERB2
Your own presets are the .xml files in its presets folder; copy that folder to take them to another computer. The license record is kept next to it, in Nolvra/PLUME.
Removing PLUME
On a Mac
There is no uninstaller. Quit your DAW and delete Nolvra PLUME.vst3 from ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3, Nolvra PLUME.component from ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components, and the folder ~/Library/Application Support/Nolvra/PLUME. Delete ~/Library/Application Support/Nolvra/VERB2 as well only if you also want your own presets gone.
On Windows
Open Settings, Apps, find Nolvra PLUME and choose Uninstall. The uninstaller removes the VST3 and the program folder. It leaves your settings and your own presets in %APPDATA%\Nolvra\VERB2 and the license record in %APPDATA%\Nolvra\PLUME; delete those folders too if you want nothing left.
What not to delete
The files directly inside ~/Library/Application Support/Nolvra or %APPDATA%\Nolvra (session.json, session-v2.json, entitlements) belong to Nolvra Hub and your other Nolvra plug-ins.
What to send us
If none of this works, write to support@nolvra.com with your operating system and its version, your host and its version, and a screenshot of the plugin manager entry. Do not send your license key.
