Activating PRISM PRO
PRISM PRO opens with an All-Access membership or with a one-time key, and the door stays shut when the answer is unclear.
Two doors, and a shut default
PRISM PRO is locked until something says otherwise. Either the account signed in to the Nolvra Hub has an active All-Access membership, or the plugin holds a valid PRISM PRO key. Those are the two doors and they are independent: an All-Access member never types a key, and a key owner does not need the Hub running to open the plugin. PRISM PRO is this plugin's name from version 1.2.2 on; it was called PRISM up to that release, so an older install still reads Nolvra PRISM in your plugin browser. The bundle identifier did not change with the name, so a saved project finds it either way.
The activation screen
An unlicensed PRISM PRO opens onto an activation screen rather than its interface. It carries the same two options: sign in through the Hub, or paste a key. A key for it reads PRISM-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX, and that prefix is the licence catalogue's name for the product rather than the plugin's display name, so it did not change when the display name did. Keys live in the Hub on the Licenses screen, masked with a COPY button beside them; they are never sent by email.
What the badge is telling you
The badge in the top bar names your access. On a cold start it reads CHECKING until the server answers, rather than guessing from what is on disk. That is deliberate: an earlier build could show ALL-ACCESS for the first fraction of a second and then correct itself to LICENSED, which is a worse answer than saying nothing yet.
How many machines
A purchased license activates on up to two machines that you personally own and use, and those two can be any mix of Mac and Windows. When both slots are full, a third activation is refused with a message rather than failing quietly. Freeing a slot is a support action: mail support@nolvra.com with your order number.
Working offline
Activation needs a connection once. After that a membership keeps PRISM PRO working offline for up to fourteen days before it checks in again, and reconnecting at any point inside that window resets the clock. A purchased key does not expire at all.
The rule underneath is strict on purpose: PRISM PRO opens when the server says yes right now, or when it holds a previously verified local record that is still intact and still inside its window. A corrupt record, an unreadable answer or a clock that has been moved backwards all close the door rather than guessing. Offline use is supported; unverified use is not.
Trying it first
The 7-day trial opens PRISM PRO with no card. It covers the plugins in All-Access and not the sample packs, it runs once per account and once per machine, and it does not renew. When it ends, PRISM PRO locks and the way on is a membership or a purchase.
If the plugin says no
Three cases cover almost every report. The Hub is signed in to a different email than the one that owns the license, which the Hub's account screen settles in one look. The membership lapsed, in which case the badge says so rather than making you guess. Or the machine limit is full, which is the message you get on a third machine rather than a silent refusal.
The troubleshooting article on activation covers the rest of the family, and everything in it applies to PRISM PRO as well.
